Worthing Masjid Prayer Times

Islamic School

An Islamic School or place of learning is called a Madrasah. Giving children the correct ta’leem (Islamic Education) and tarbiyyah (Upbringing) is a major responsibility for parents. If they fail to make proper arrangements for the ta’leem of their children and do not give them proper tarbiyyah, they may face severe questioning on the Day of Reckoning.

Madrasahs are set up to support parents of the local community to discharge this responsibility. Children will only fully benefit when parents monitor and reinforce what is taught to them at the Madrasah.

For this reason, Worthing Masjid (Mosque) holds regular Madrasah sessions.

Class Timings:

Qaidah (Beginners) Sessions: Mon, Wed, 4pm to 6pm, Sat 11am to 1pm.

Juz Amma and Quran Sessions: Tue, Thurs, 4pm to 6pm, Sun 11am to 1pm.

Children must attend their allocated sessions based on what they are reading. However, if a family has children on different levels, they may attend together during the Juz Amma and Quran Sessions.

The Madrasah term runs from September to August. The Madrasah is closed during Ramadhan and also during school holidays. Parents will be informed of term dates, usually via What’s App.

Fees:

Monthly fees are £25 for first child, £37.50 (2 children), and £45 (3 children) over 12 months.

All payments must be made monthly via standing order. Payments in cash are time consuming for both teachers and admin.
