Message from Worthing Masjid on the eve of Ramadhan

*(Message from Worthing Masjid on the eve of Ramadhan)*

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh.

Saudi Moonsighting Authorities have confirmed that Ramadhan 2020 will begin on Friday the 24th of April. This means that the first taraweeh salah should be offered after Isha Salah tonight. (Thursday the 23rd).

The Ramadhan timetable can be downloaded from the Masjid website: (www.worthingmasjid.com) or from the Worthing Masjid facebook page.

Due to Corvid 19, the Masjid will remain closed and all activities therein will remain suspended until further notice.

However, this should not prevent us from making the most of this blessed month.

Regardless of whether the current pandemic is a trial or punishment, the solution to this crisis, undoubtedly lies in sincere repentance and making duaa. Ramadhan is the Month of Allah’s forgiveness and mercy.

We should spend as much time as possible during this blessed month, fasting, reciting the Holy Quran, worshipping Allah سبحانه وتعالى in abundance and serving humanity. In all circumstances we must try to abstain from the disobedience of Allah سبحانه وتعالى which is the primary reason for adverse conditions.

We should also use this opportunity to increase our knowledge of Islam and improve our recitation of the Holy Quran. Alhamdulillah, modern technology provides us with many ways to do this.

In Shaa Allah all of the above will bring much needed Noor ( light) and guidance into our homes.
A believer looks for opportunities and positives in every condition.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Masjid if you or anyone you know require any assistance due to the lockdown. This includes assistance with Suhoor and Iftar meals. (We are always happy to help)

Finally, I pray that Allah SWA grants all of us the most spiritually uplifting and blessed month of Ramadhan. I also pray that Allah S.W.A showers his mercy and forgiveness upon us so we can open the doors of his house to pray and break fast together again very soon. (Ameen)
