*Message from Worthing Masjid on the eve of Ramadhan*
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullaahi Wabarakaatuh.
Saudi Moonsighting Authorities have confirmed that the first day of Ramadhan (fasting) will be on Tuesday 13th of April. This means that the first taraweeh salah will be offered tonight.( Monday 12th April )
Alhamdulillah we are most grateful to Allah SWA that unlike last year, the Masaajid will be open this year and we can congregate together to offer worship.
However, Please remember that we are in the midst of a pandemic and the following covid 19 guidelines still need to be observed:
[1] Make wudhu at home
[2] Wear a mask
[3] Remember to bring a prayer mat
[4] Sanitise your hands upon entering the masjid
[5] Maintain social
distancing at all times
[6] Due to limited spaces, sadly we still have no room for sisters
[7] No children below the age of 13
[8] Persons over 60 years old are advised not to attend
[9] Anyone with underlying
health conditions is advised not to attend
[10] Please stay away if you have any Covid or Flu symptoms.
Sadly, there will be no communal Iftar this year but we will be supporting vulnerable individuals and families by providing Suhoor and Iftar meals.
Please let me know if you require assistance or if you would like to contribute towards this project.
There will be two Jamaats for Taraweeh Salaah. Both will be Surah Taraweehs.
Once the Masjid is full, anyone waiting outside will have to go away and return for the next Taraweeh Jamaat. Entry is strictly on an order of arrival basis. Please offer Taraweeh Salah upstairs if you plan to leave early.
The Ramadhan timetable can be downloaded from the Masjid website: (www.worthingmasjid.co.uk) or from the Worthing Masjid facebook page.
Finally, I pray that Allah SWA grants all of us the most spiritually uplifting and blessed month of Ramadhan. I also pray that Allah S.W.A showers his mercy and forgiveness upon us so we can once again stand shoulder to shoulder in prayer and break fast together very soon. (Ameen)
