Please arrive early for the 1st Jumuah. Once the Masjid is full, the doors will be locked.

Food Foundation success this Ramadan
Dear Members of the Community of Worthing and the surrounding areas.
Assalamualaikum.
We, at Worthing Masjid, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who generously contributed towards our food collection project for the Worthing Food Foundation this Ramadan. Your kindness and support made a significant difference to the lives of those in need.
Thanks to your donations, we were able to deliver essential non-perishable food items that will provide nourishment and hope to individuals and families experiencing hard times in our community. Your willingness to help reflects the true spirit of compassion and generosity that Ramadan embodies.
Thank you once again for your incredible contributions. Together, we are making a positive impact and fostering a stronger, more caring community. May Allah bless you all abundantly.

Eid Mubarak!!!
After an early morning inspection, we are writing to confirm that Eid Salah will be offered at Pond Lane, Durrington, Worthing, BN13 2RH.
Please bring a prayer mat with you and make wudhu from home.
Dont forget to pay your Sadaqatul Fitr before the Eid prayer.
In Sha Allah, there will be a collection for the Masjid development project. Please donate generously.

Please read the following in full:
VENUE in the event of good weather : Pond Lane Ground, Durrington, Worthing, BN13 2RH.
TIMINGS
Bayan start: 8:45am
Eid Jamaat: 9:00am
PLEASE NOTE
1) Make Wudhu at home
2) Please bring a prayer mat, black bin liner and shoe bag carrier with you – in case of no space on the tarpaulin, we advise laying the prayer mat on the bin liner.
3) Park legally and in a manner not to inconvenience others.
4) Please follow instructions and directions given by the Masjid volunteers at all times.
5) Please ensure that Sadaqatul Fitr is paid before Eid Salah. The recommended amount is £5 per person (including for women and children)
6) Funds will be collected for the Masjid development. Planning application for this has now been provisionally approved by the Council.
VENUE in the event of bad weather: Worthing Masjid, Ivy Arch Road, BN14 8BX
There will be 3 Jamaats at the Masjid if we do not offer Eid Salah outside:
1st Jamaat: 08:30am (English Bayan at 08:15am)
2nd Jamaat: 09:30am
3rd Jamaat: 10:30am
Please note: Parking spaces on Ivy Arch Road are very limited and we request attendees to park sensibly elsewhere.
Sisters are welcome to attend. There will be a separate space for them, whether indoors or outdoors.
Once the prayer area is full, the masjid doors will be locked. Late arrivals will have to wait for the next Eid Jamaat. This applies to both the men’s and ladies’ prayer areas.

As we are in the midst of Ramadhan, a time for compassion and generosity,
Worthing Masjid is collecting donations for the Worthing Food Foundation to support those in need within our community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to embody the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by giving generously.
Here’s how you can contribute:
1. Donate Non-Perishable Food:
Please consider donating items such as canned goods, rice, pasta, baked bean and other canned food items.
PLEASE PLACE THEM IN THE BOXES PROVIDED IN THE MASJID.
2. Spread the Word:
Encourage your friends and family to join this important initiative and contribute what they can.
Your support during this blessed month can significantly impact those who are struggling.
May Allah bless your generosity and reward you abundantly.

Fitrah 2026
Assalamualaikum.
In this blessed month of Ramadhan I would like to encourage everyone to pay your FITRAH as soon as you can.
As you all know we should make every effort to ensure our FITRAH monies are given to the poor and needy several days before the day of Eid to give them the opportunity the spend it for Eid. We therefore would like to collect your FITRAH as early as we can and plan to send whatever we collect on 15th Ramadhan.
So I urge you all to please start paying your FITRAH as soon possible. This year it has been set at a minimum if £5 per person.

Ramadhan Mubarak
Assalamu Alaikum,
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Saudi Moonsighting Authorities, who our Masjid follows for Hijri dates, have announced that they will be offering Taraweeh Salah from tonight (Tuesday 17th February 2026).
Hence, the 1st taraweeh in our Masjid will also be offered tonight (8PM)
The late taraweeh is at 11.00pm, Sun to Thurs and 11.30pm on Fri and Sat.
The 1st fast of Ramadhan will be observed tomorrow (Wednesday, 18th February).

Please note that the Maghrib timings on the annual calendar are not correct and the breaking of the fast (Iftar) should be done in accordance with the Masjid website or the updated print out of Maghrib times that was distributed.
We are also pleased to announce that Kuhr Engineering, who own the car park next to the Masjid, have granted us special permission, during this Ramadhan only, to use their car park from Maghrib to Fajr time.
I request all attendees to park legally, sensibly and in an orderly manner at all times.
Finally, I make duaa that we all have a spiritually uplifting Ramadhan (Ameen).
